The Nolah Natural differs significantly from a memory foam alternative, even with the same firmness rating. Most people will be resting on top of this mattress rather than sinking into it due to the strong support offered by the base layer.
This mattress contains a robust coil system and responsive comfort layers. These layers cause the bed to be more bouncy, which isn’t desirable for those requiring lots of motion isolation. However, the bounciness will make it easier to move around and switch sleeping positions.

We think the Nolah Natural is very effective at pressure relief and is a wonderful option for those with back pain. This mattress is made with Talalay latex, which is reported to be three times more effective at pressure relief than synthetic or Dunlop latex.
Unlike other all-latex mattresses, the Nolah Natural is also a hybrid, so it can provide more support and alignment through the coils. This support and alignment, paired with comforting pressure relief, should help those with pain.
Is the Nolah Natural Mattress Good for Pain Relief?
The Nolah Natural uses the gentle contouring of wool and the responsiveness of Talalay latex to provide sleepers with pain relief. The latex does a great job of preventing pressure and pain from building up around areas of the body that are in contact with the bed. It also allows sleepers to reposition more easily, which should help ease any discomfort.
Back Pain
Most people with back pain should feel well-supported and experience excellent pressure relief from the Talalay latex layers. The exception to this is stomach sleepers who are average weight or heavier since their lower back could curve, leading to more discomfort.
Hip Pain
Side sleepers should feel the gentle contour of the wool and latex and the robust support of the coils. Paired with this mattress’s pressure relief, these sleepers should experience some relief from hip pain.
